They had to decide on a new disciple after Judah's died.
(Judah, who after Jesus died on the cross,
He is a disciple who committed suicide because he could not overcome the guilt.)
They prayed before drawing the lots.
22.beginning from John's baptism to the time when Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection."
